
Jeff Schmidt is a multi-award-winning creative director, writer, and sound designer renowned for crafting vivid narratives through richly layered, cinematic soundscapes.
His sound design has been a defining element of some of the most acclaimed non-fiction audio series in the medium, collectively surpassing 100 million downloads. Many of these productions have been adapted for television, including Dirty John, Dr. Death, Gladiator, Over My Dead Body, Joe Exotic, Twin Flames, and The Shrink Next Door.
A pioneer in spatial audio for podcasting, Jeff has incorporated binaural 3D and spatial audio techniques, including his own custom 3D recordings into every series he has designed since 2017.
Jeff has also developed original audio branding and sound design for Apple Music One, and is the founder of Alien Imaging Sound Design, a boutique library of custom music and sound design assets for video, radio, and trailers.
His work extends into the gaming industry, with sound design credits for Blizzard Entertainment titles including World of Warcraft and Diablo 3, as well as music contributions to Sony Interactive's Infamous 2, and Halo: 20th Anniversary Edition for Microsoft Studios.
